David Entwistle, President and CEO of Stanford Health Care, Joins Redesign Health Board of Directors

Today, we’re welcoming a new member to the Redesign Health team who will continue helping advance our work to deliver a modern approach to healthcare innovation.

We’re thrilled to welcome David Entwistle, President and CEO of Stanford Health Care, to our Board of Directors. A renowned healthcare leader, David has a storied career of driving transformative health innovations at academic medical centers and leading them to achieve national recognition for patient care quality. At Stanford Health Care, he spearheaded the completion of the new state-of-the-art Stanford Hospital, which opened to patients in fall 2019 and provided a critical component of Stanford Medicine’s COVID-19 response. He also championed the development and implementation of an integrated strategic plan for Stanford Medicine; and under his leadership, Stanford Health Care continues to achieve accolades for clinical excellence and technological innovation from Vizient, the Leapfrog Group, and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, among other organizations.

Previously, David served as CEO of the University of Utah Hospital and Clinics and as senior vice president and COO at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. He currently sits on the boards of Vizient and the American Hospital Association, and is a past board member of the Association of American Medical Colleges Council of Teaching Hospitals and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
